The sources we rely on and how each question is studied before an answer is issued.
Answers are based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah, the consensus of scholars and sound analogy, drawing on the heritage of the recognised schools of Islamic law.
We take into account the resolutions of collective fiqh bodies, such as the International Islamic Fiqh Academy and the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League, and, in financial matters, the Sharia Standards of AAOIFI.
Each question is studied in the context of Muslim life in Britain: its laws, its financial system and the real needs of individuals and families, applying the principles of ease, necessity and removing hardship within their proper limits.
