  • This calculator is for learning and a first estimate. It does not replace asking a scholar, especially for distant kindred, an unborn child, a missing person, intersex heirs, homicide or difference of religion, which it does not handle.
  • In the UK an estate is divided by the Islamic shares only if the deceased left a valid written will. Without a will, the English intestacy rules apply, which can differ greatly from the Islamic division.
  • Non-Muslim relatives do not inherit from a Muslim, and an heir who killed the deceased does not inherit. Do not include them.
